Independence Assistance is a home care agency providing care for individuals with needs, related to aging and disability, in the comfort of their own homes. We are not a franchise. We built this company in the bluegrass and serve the bluegrass – family owned and family oriented. Services range from errands and transportation to dressing, showering, cooking, and household chores, all while keeping loved ones safe and independent in the comforts of their own homes.
Independence Assistance has provided quality services for over a decade in central Kentucky. Founded in 2012 in Lexington , KY, Independence Assistance is committed to helping clients remain independent at home in the Bluegrass. Our service territory includes 19 counties in Central Kentucky. We will travel to rural areas, as well as major metropolitan areas like Lexington, Georgetown, Richmond, Danville, and Nicholasville. We are dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve peace of mind and keep the life they love.
Our home care Services range from housekeeping, personal care, escort, transportation services, medication reminders, shopping, respite, companionship, and memory care.

To ensure client satisfaction, we hire only qualified and professional Care Assistants. We carefully select individuals who have the heart, passion, experience, and commitment to assist our clients’ tailored needs. We conduct thorough federal and state background checks, as well as drug screens on all Care Assistants. Our professional Care Assistants participate in on-going training throughout the year, including specific training for Alzheimer’s and aging related diseases.
To ensure the protection of all clients, we are fully insured and bonded. Our Care Assistants provide our clients with a feeling of independence and calm, aiding in their ability to stay in their home for as long as possible.
